Warriors News · Varsity Baseball Warriors Remain Unbeaten

The Waverly varsity baseball team swept a DH from Charlotte yesterday by the scores of 12-0 and 11-0.  In the first game the Warriors offense was lead by Joe Botello who had two hits while driving in a run. Bottelo barely missed a HR doubling off the top of the fence. Andrew Kerrigan had a nice game too, driving in 3 runs.  For the second straight outing JJ Arroyo was masterful hurlings 4 shutout innings while striking out 4.  Arroyo is 2-0 on the year and has not allowed a run.  The Warriors continued their good start to the season winning the nightcap 11-0.  Derrick Bell, JJ Arroyo and Griffin Sika each had two hits while driving in two runs. Mark Miller hit a long double which drove in two runs.  RJ Ostrom and Eddie Banda combined for the shutout with Ostrom earning his second win of the season. The Warriors remain unbeaten on the season and travel to Sexton today for a DH at 4pm
